My world house is falling apart. Armies of cockroaches are plotting to take over my beloved kitchen. Step into my kitchen at 2am in the morning and you can see roaches of all shapes and sizes, colours and genders (do roaches have genders? /oh yes they do) all over the place. I know this is mega gross, tell me about it. I am the one who have to sneak food into my room at 2am in the morning. It's not like we don't clean the kitchen or that we leave bits and pieces of scrape food lying around the counter. We scrub and we clean. And we have a refrigerator, plus, we know that left-over food goes into the refrigerator. My mum even leave roach poisons on the kitchen tiles hoping to annihilate the troops. You can hear my maid reporting death figures to my mum a.k.a commander every morning. I think my mum's greatest achievement was when my maid reported 16 roaches death in a night.

Imagine, 16 roaches in a night. Oh yeah.
But you know what? A roach capsule can hold up to 40 eggs. Fourty. Eggs. Cockroach eggs. Fourty.

And we have different categories of cockroaches too. I just read up on Wikipedia. We have the American cockroach, Australian cockroach, Asian cockroaches, Oriental cockroaches, German cockroaches and about a dozen of other genres.


But anyway, my mum is making the most fruitless attempt at killing cockroaches. She should just burn the house down call pest control.
